1954 BUICK

1954 BuickBuick was an all new design for 1954. Lower and wider, the car featured a grille of fine vertical bars protected by large, bullet-shaped bumper guards. The overall appearance was boxier than previous years with the rear fender kicking up enough to suggest a fin, terminated with two bullet shapped tail lights. Thinner side trim began rearward of the headlights and swept across the door and dipped to the rocker panels just in front of the rear wheel well, followed the wheel well's contour back up and ended just short of the tail lights. A "wrap-around" windshield gave the A pillar a raked look. V8 engines were available for all models.
